Dr. Vilas Dewoolkar

Dr. Vilas Dewoolkar is the I/C principal of the College. He has completed his M.A. in History from Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 1990 and B. Ed. in the year 1989. He is having the 23 years of the teaching experience at UG level and 05 Years at PG Level. He started his services as Lecturer in History in 1991 in this college. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University Nanded in the year 2011. He has well renowned in the studies of the Great Sansthanik Honorable Pancham khemraj. He has selected the same topic for his Doctoral Level Research. The title of his thesis is “Sawantwadi Sansthanache Adhipati Pancham Khemraj Tatha Bapusaheb Maharaj Yancha Kal va Kartrutva – Chikitsak Abhyas”. In his 23 years of experience he has worked on various committees as Chairman and Expert. He has also contributed to University of Mumbai by working on various committees. At College level he was a Programme Officer of NSS from 1995 to 2007. His contribution to whole society and Sindhudurg awarded him as a Best Programme Officer and afterward he became a District Co-ordinator and Advisory Committee member of NSS from 1998 to 2007.He has also worked as a Chairman of Vigilance Squad of Mumbai Universities examinations. He is also a good researcher. He has published number of research papers in various Journals and also completed Minor Research Project on “Sindhudurg Zilhyachi Pinguli Gavachya Thaka Lok Kalechya Abhyas”. In his services he has contributed to society also by being a member of Tanta Mukta Gav Samitee, Gram Vikas Samitee, Gram Shiksham Samitee, Ansur, Vengurla, Dist Sindhudurg.
